Kristie graduated with honours from U of S with a B.A in Fine Arts.

Kristie’s university education sparked an explosive creativity in her that had yet to be expressed. Inspired and fueled by her mentors; her ability to create a living with her art was unleashed. Kristie; a studied fine art painter launched her own clothing line as a self-taught designer and seamstress. She also established her own line of rope basket designs.

Kristie is recognized and is a member of the Canada Council for the Arts.

Kristie MAH  is a re-birth of what was formerly Velvet Plume Clothier for the past 18 years.

She has travelled and vended at festivals for 20 years and has sold her original fine art paintings all over North America.

Kristie MAH creates a 100% handmade, eco-friendly and sustainable clothing line that stands the test of time; in her Winnipeg-based art studio. Each design is an original pattern designed by Kristie and uses organic and sustainable fabrics. Kristie has also incorporated her original images for screen printing that can be found on select designs and are printed using inks that are less toxic to the environment and hand-pulled by Kristie herself.

Kristie MAH includes one-of-a-kind rope baskets that are handcrafted in her studio with naturally dyed cotton rope. Kristie originated the FORAGING basket which is a unique design versatile in function. She has renamed her design the HARVEST basket and is available as the perfect accessory to her clothing line.

Kristie is in charge of it all; single mom to three beautiful children, designing, cutting, sewing, photography, editing, modelling, marketing, social media, communication, shipping and graphic design.

 Each design was thought up in an inspired vision and brought to fruition; with loving intention and great attention to detail.
