RECLAMATION - LIGHTKEEPER
Using a curated thrifted vest, I have upcycled it with my own one-of-a-kind applique.
The story behind my RECLAMATION line:
Two years ago, I found myself at a full-stop rock bottom.
the classic kind of rock bottom where I had nowhere to live or work and had nothing more to draw from spiritually.
Everything literally just stopped and/or failed me.
I found myself in a very dark place I had never experienced before.
I had come to the end of myself in all aspects.
This RECLAMATION line was something I could creatively grab hold of.
It didn’t require me to invest in thousands of dollars worth of fabric and it was the small spark of inspiration I so desperately needed, to pull me out of my creative rut. (And feed my children).
I not only reclaimed these jackets and turned them into liveable, functional works of art; but I RECLAIMED my life, my art/business and ultimately my soul.
I slowly began to find myself again through Gods eyes and heart. A version of myself I had never fully known.
I experienced a love so vast, it was enough to make time stand still in complete awe.
This reclamation of my HEART is stitched into every piece; glorifying all of who God is and what He has done and continues to do in my life.
